Welcome to Furmily's comprehensive Puppy Training —designed to help you and your puppy build a strong bond, develop essential behaviors, and ensure a happy, well-trained pet. Over the course of four Saturdays, we’ll guide you through hands-on training, using positive reinforcement to teach basic commands, leash manners, socialization, and more. Our classes are designed to be engaging, informative, and fun for both puppies and their owners.
1st Saturday , 5th of October (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Bonding & Basic Commands
Bonding & Introduction (40 min)
- Introduction (20 min): Meet and greet session. We’ll discuss your goals, concerns, and expectations for your puppy.
- Bonding (20 min): Learn why bonding is crucial for building trust and a positive relationship with your puppy through exercises and interaction.
Basic Commands (60 min)
- Sit (20 min): Teach your puppy to sit using treats and positive reinforcement.
- Paw (20 min): Introduce the "paw" command in a fun and engaging way.
- Spin (20 min): Teach your puppy to spin with the right techniques and rewards.
Break (10 min)
- A quick toilet break and outdoor exploration.
Q&A: End the session with an opportunity to ask questions.
2nd Saturday, 12th of October (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Life Stages & Problem Solving
Life Stages (20 min)
- Understand your puppy's developmental stages, including teething, fear periods, and adolescence.
Toilet Training (20 min)
- Learn to establish a routine and recognize signs when your puppy needs to go.
Break (10 min)
Problem Solving (40 min)
- Prevent Jumping (20 min): Techniques to correct and prevent jumping behavior.
- Recall (20 min): Teach your puppy to come when called—a crucial skill for all dogs.
Q&A: Wrap up the session with answers to your questions.
3rd Saturday, 19th of October (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Mental Stimulation & Leash Training
Mental Stimulation (20 min)
- Learn what mental stimulation is, its importance, and how to use toys and activities like puzzles, sniffing walks, and Kong toys to engage your puppy.
Positive Reinforcement (20 min)
- Discover why positive reinforcement is key to effective training and how to apply it.
Commands (40 min)
- Leave It/Drop It (20 min): Teach your puppy to release or avoid objects when instructed.
- Loose Leash Walking (20 min): Learn techniques to prevent pulling and encourage good leash manners.
Break & Play (10 min)
Advanced Leash Walking (20 min)
- Heeled Walking (20 min): Practice advanced strategies to manage pulling behavior.
Q&A: End with a session for any questions.
4th Saturday, 26th of October (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Socialization & Graduation
Socialization (15 min)
- Discuss proper interaction with other dogs and people. Puppies will also have socialized during the training sessions.
Outdoor Training (25 min)
- Public Outing: Practice commands and behaviors in real-world settings, such as parks or busy streets. Teach puppies the "wait" command at crosswalks.
Break (10 min)
Handling & Grooming (20 min)
- Learn how to get your puppy comfortable with handling, brushing, and basic grooming.
Barking Control (20 min)
- Understand why puppies bark and how to manage excessive barking.
Graduation (10 min)
- Celebrate your puppy’s achievements with a certificate and discuss the next steps for ongoing training and growth.
The total cost of grooming for your furry friend will depend on various factors, including the stage and condition of the coat, coat thickness, medical conditions, age, behavior, neutered or not neutered, and whether your pet is a breeding dog or not. These factors help us determine the amount of work required.
However, rest assured that the price will be in the range as indicated based on the size of your pet.
