£20 is the deposit required to secure the appointment. This will be applied towards the total cost of your service.

Hand stripping is a grooming technique for wire coats that removes dead hair from a dog’s top coat by hand so that a new coat is able to grow in. It keeps your dog's coat tidy and healthy. This service also includes everything else we offer in the Bath & Tidy. Recommend every 3-4 weeks.

Breeds that require hand stripping can include:

  • Schnauzers

  • Cocker Spaniels

  • Irish Wolf Hounds

  • Wire Fox Terrier

  • Wire-haired Pointers

  • Wire-haired Dachshunds

  • Border Terriers

Handstripping is a delicate process that takes longer than regular grooming. If you are unsure whether your dog could benefit from Hand Stripping, you can of course always ask one of our groomers.

She specialises in breed-specific grooming techniques, with particular expertise in hand stripping for wire-haired terriers, including Wire Fox Terriers and other terrier breeds, delivering precise, correct, and well-balanced results. Experienced in grooming all dog breeds — from small companion dogs to large breeds — Valeria is renowned for her calm, patient approach. She is especially skilled in handling challenging, anxious, or difficult dogs, ensuring every grooming session is carried out in a safe, controlled, and low-stress environment.
