Hand stripping is a grooming technique for wire coats that removes dead hair from a dog’s top coat by hand so that a new coat is able to grow in. It keeps your dog's coat tidy and healthy. This service also includes everything else we offer in the Bath & Tidy. Recommend every 3-4 weeks.

Breeds that require hand stripping can include:

  • Schnauzers

  • Cocker Spaniels

  • Irish Wolf Hounds

  • Wire Fox Terrier

  • Wire-haired Pointers

  • Wire-haired Dachshunds

  • Border Terriers

Handstripping is a delicate process that takes longer than regular grooming. If you are unsure whether your dog could benefit from Hand Stripping, you can of course always ask one of our groomers.

Just a heads up!

The total cost of grooming for your furry friend will depend on various factors, including the stage and condition of the coat, coat thickness, medical conditions, age, behavior, neutered or not neutered, and whether your pet is a breeding dog or not. These factors help us determine the amount of work required.

However, rest assured that the price will be in the range as indicated based on the size of your pet.

If you'd like to know the exact cost, please feel free to chat with us and provide more information about your dog's condition. The grooming cost will also be agreed upon with you before we commence the job.
